Nellie is a coming 3 yr old who was returned. She is considered wild but can be petted and comes for carrots.  Her adopter was injured by another horse and can no longer care for her.

 

Nellie came to us from the Slick Gardner ranch in Santa Barara where about 800 horses were being starved.  We were able to assist in finding 54 horses homes.

 

 

 

 

Dutches is a Sheldon Mustang and is about 4 yrs old.  She is currently nursing her new foal and will be available for adopting once Tessa is weaned (see Tessa under halter broke horses).  Dutches is a bay and stands about 13.3hh and may still have a little growing left in her.  She is calm and friendly and will eat carrots out of our hands and let us pet face and the occasional butt scratch.  She is very willing but cautious.
