Available Halter Broke

Here you will find horses at different stages of being halter broke. They will range from minimal to started under saddle. Once a horse has his first ride he will be moved to the "green broke" page. If you are interested in adopting one of these horses please complete an adoption application.

Oakly is a comstock mustang colt, he is about 7 months old and is a beautiful liver chestnut color now but is turning gray. Oakly was born to Precious (see below) after being accidently exposed to a comstock mustang stallion at the boarding facility.

Oakly is very friendly and can be touched all over but he has not warn a halter since he was little, so we are listing him under the "wild horses" page till we can get him going in a halter again.

Oakly is available for foster or adoption. Oakly's adoption fee is $200

Echo will be remaining at the ranch for further training and if he does well, will become one of our ranch horses....

"Echo" is a 2 yr old palomino/white Medicine Hat Paint (QH type) gelding. He came from NorCal rescue who saved him from a feedlot in Nevada where he was waiting to ship to Mexico to be slaughtered. We have limited info on him and will post more info once we get a chance to work with him. Echo is now considered halter broke

Echo is NOT available for foster or adoption.

Megan is an Arabian Mare. She is said to be approximatly 5 yrs old and is flea bitten gray in color. She stands about 14.1hh and is friendly. She ties, trailers, leads, and stands for farrier. We do not know if she is broke to ride so she is listed on the "halter broke" page and will be adopted out as such untill we have time to see if she rides.

Megan is available for Foster or Adoption. His adoption fee is $300

Holly is a Comstock Mustang mare, she is about 4 1/2 yrs old. She is sorrel wth a large wide baze. She is halter broke but hard to catch. She has had some saddle work done and been led aroudn while a rider was on her back.

Holly will is available for foster or adoption, her adoption fee is $400.

Holly is located in Pinon Hills, CA.

Tank is a dark Dun gelding, he is about 4 yrs old. He came to us from the Sheldon Wildlife Refuge in Northern Nevada. He stands about 14.3hh and still has a little growing left to do. Tank has some basic haltering skills but we have found he preferes going backwards instead of forwards :) He does require an experienced mustang handler.

Tank is available for fostering or adoption and his adoption fee is $300.

Boy Toy is a Reg. Arabian Stallion (we are working on getting papers). He is approximatly 7 yrs old and is a black bay color. He stands about 14.1 hh and is very studly. We are not sure if he is broke to ride or not so we have listed him on the "halter broke" page and he will be adopted out as such untill we have time to see how he rides.

Boy Toy is available for Foster or Adoption. His adoption fee is $300

Boy Toy is currently located in Pinon Hills, CA

Andy is a POA/Arab cross 4 yr old gelding stands about 14hh and is a brown/white few spot leopard appy. He is halter broke and trailres but is very pushy on the ground. He has not yet been started under saddle.

Would make a cute gymkhana horse for a small adult or larger child or even a cute little cart horse.

Andy is available for fostering or adoption. His adoption fee is $400.

Lefty is a 4 yr old Comstock Mustang gelding, he is a bay with a star/snip and stands about 13.3hh and is still growing. He is halter broke, leads, trailers, stands for farrier and has been under saddle (but NOT ridden) several times.

Lefty is available for adoption or fostering. His adoption fee is $300

Lefty is currently located in Pinon Hills, CA

Carson is a 5 yr old Comstock Mustang gelding. He stands about 14.1 hh, and is halter broke but has some trust issues, ready to start under saddle once trust is established.

Carson is available for fostering and adoption. His adoption fee is $200.

Midnights Spirit is a beautiful gelding and he stands 14.2hh or so. He looks black but during the summer he gets a dark brown tone in his flank and muzzle. He has that special look to catch your eye. He is an adult we are estimating his age to be about 6 or 7 now. He is halter broke and can easily be caught in a corral but it is hard to catch him out in a pasture still. He is very gentle and seems to have a level head.
